The Quest Hotel is opposite the NEX Conference venue. Quest Newcastle is located in the heart of Newcastle's CBD, short walk to the waterfront boardwalk of Honeysuckle and a very short walk to the Conference Venue (back entrance of the hotel is opposite the NEX).   • The accommodation rates quoted include GST and are subject to availability at time of booking.
  • Rates may increase without notice due to changes in government charges, taxes or levies.
  • The deadline for accommodation bookings through East Coast Conferences is Friday 21st July (subject to availability).

 

Accommodation Payment: Full prepayment of accommodation is required to secure your booking.

Accommodation Availability: Block bookings have been made at the above properties, and will be confirmed on a first-in basis. Bookings have been made for the Conference dates only (Checking in on Thursday 14th and Checking out on Friday 15th September 2017). Accommodation can be organised outside these dates on a by-request basis only, and room rates may vary outside these dates.  All accommodation bookings are subject to availability.

How to Book Accommodation: To book, complete the Registration Form and fax or post to East Coast Conferences. The Conference Managers will forward your reservation and deposit/full pre-payment to the hotel.

Change of Booking: Any change to a reservation must initially be notified to the Conference Managers and not directly to the hotel.  Please note, any changes must be made to the Conference Managers by Friday 21st July 2017  After this date, please liaise directly with the hotel for any changes to your booking. Cancellations must be made in writing (fees may apply).

Late Arrivals: Please indicate on your registration form or notify the Conference Managers in writing if you will arrive at your hotel after 6pm.  Failure to notify of a late arrival may mean that your room will be released, and deposit forfeited.

Arrival Time: Hotel check-in time is 2pm for both properties. If you are to arrive before this time it is probable that you will not be able to gain access to your room.  To guarantee a room to be available for an early arrival you will need to pre-book your room for the previous night.  If required please indicate on your registration form. (You will be charged by the hotel for the additional night).

Accommodation Refunds: Any accommodation cancellations received after Friday 4th August 2017 will be subject to the hotels accommodation cancellation fee.

Travel

By Road

Newcastle is located only two hours drive north of Sydney and an easy 50 minute journey to the Hunter Valley or Port Stephens.

  • Driving from Sydney or the South - Follow the Pacific Motorway (M1) and take the Newcastle Link Road exit which will bring you into the heart of the City.
  • Driving from the West - Newcastle City Centre is accessible from either the New England or Golden Highway.
  • Driving from the North - Follow the Pacific Highway directly into the City Centre

By Rail

Newcastle is part of the CityRail network with multiple stations positioned around the City Centre. Frequent daily return services are available heading south on the Newcastle/ Central Coast network with access to; Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast, Sydney and surrounding suburbs, and heading north west on the Hunter network providing access to the Lower and Upper Hunter regions. NSW TrainLink trains connect Newcastle to Sydney, Brisbane and many other country centres. The trains are designed for comfortable long distance travel, and regularly depart from Newcastle's Broadmeadow Train Station. Visit the NSW TrainLink website for further information and timetables.

By Air

Four airlines service Newcastle Airport at Williamtown (a 30 minute drive north of Newcastle). Jetstar flies from Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Melbourne, Virgin Australia flies from Brisbane and Melbourne, QantasLink flies from Brisbane, and Rex Airlines flies from Sydney and Ballina. Airport Transfers - The Newcastle Airport Information Services desk is your one stop shop to book your airport transfer, including shuttle and hire car and limousine services.
